InnoPlastics AG processes plastic waste into high-quality plastic regrinds, and thus reveals the full ecological and economic potential of alleged plastic “waste”. Regretfully, this material often remains unused and will end up in landfills or in waste incinerators.
The company annually produces about 16,000 tonnes of regrind. In contrast to waste incineration, each kilogram of regrind saves up to three kilograms of CO2 and a litre of crude oil. In addition, production of regrind requires only half as much energy as production of primary plastics. One kilogram of regrind replaces a kilogram of primary plastic granules.
